My Reflection

In this activity I was learning to find the persuasive techniques. 

 I had to highlight them and guess what technique it is like slogan or expert opinion.

My next step is to use these techniques in my own speech.

     

Explanation Writing

My Reflection

WALT identify the features of an explanation. The features i found are: technical and sequencing words. 

Technical words such as bugs, container, tank

Sequencing words such as firstly, secondly, next

My next step is to try writing another one to practice

WALT identify the features of an explanation the features i found are the success criteria for an explanation.I still am learning  to write a explanation

Explanation Writing

WALT identify the features of an explanation. The features i found are: Sequencing Words, introduction. My next step is to try writing my own explanation. 

Critiquing a Well Balanced Argument

My Reflection

In this activity I was learning to write a well balanced argument. I had to highlight the different parts. I had to say what I thought could be improved. The highlighting was easy because I could check the success criteria so see if I was doing it right. Now I know what to write for my own argument.

Ko ahua poem,

My Reflection I had to write about my Ko ahau poem, which means i am it was easy because you need to only do is write and describe it my next step is to have more interesting words.

Character Description - Crazy Vampire

W.A.L.T write a character description. using adjectives I found this picture easy because i just need to think if he is bossy or sassy. i used my 5 senses  to write 5 different sentences about my character. my next step is to add more interesting adjectives in each sentences.   

Features of Persuasive Writing

We have been learning to find the features of persuasive writing.   I found this easy because Mrs Melville helped me. I learnt about alliteration.  My next step is to write my own persuasive speech.

we are learning about structure and order of writing an explanation. we had to put the piece  of writing  in  the correct order. I found this tricky because you have to make them to order My next step is to write my own explanation.

100 Word Challenge - A Family Members Perspective

I have been learning to add detail to my writing . we had to imagine if we were a soldier or a family member and write about this picture I used my 5 senses to make my writing more intresting my next step is to add more adjechives to make my writing more intristing . add use my 5 senses to add more detail. use language features like similes onomatopaia and alliteation

A Moment in time

My Reflection

I have been learning to use strategies to add detail to my writing wrote about a moment in time during my holidays I used my 5 senses to my writing the best part of this is when I was going to do my picture I need to improve.. I got a lot better at my moment in time I found this easy because you need to write your moment in time and your picture. My next step is to use three adjectives in a row in one of my sentences.   

My Antonym diamante poem

My Reflection
I have been learning to write an antonym diamante poem An antonym is word that means the opposite. A diamante poem is poem in the shape of a diamond. 1 found this hard because I didnt know what opposite meant and it was hard to think of the words. My next step is to think of more words.

My Metaphor Poem

I  have  been learning to use  metaphors  to make it more interesting by making pictures in the readers head.   I found this work tricky because I was a bit confused about what to do.  My next step is to ask for more help.

We have been learning to write a biopoem. A biopoem is a poem written about ourselves. it has a special structure  that we had to use to write our poems. I found this tricky because it was hard to think of the ideas. My next step is to use more interesting words.
